Parent Testimonials

Mrs Brown, A Little Otters and Otters Parent (January 2024)

Both of our boys each started at Otters at eleven months old. Now four and two years old, and having spent 2-3 days a week there, it’s like a second home for them! However what makes this nursery particularly special, is the staff. Due to its relatively small size, everybody knows everybody and we feel that the staff know our children so well. They know their interests and know what makes them tick and have previously used this to engage them in activities. They also know that our eldest doesn’t like baked beans but that our youngest will have a second (or third!) helping of any food going! Communication from the new management has always been honest and open and we’ve always appreciated this. We would always recommend Otters to other families.

We were initially apprehensive about our daughter starting nursery at just 11 months old, as she was the youngest any of our children had been. However, the team have been nothing short of amazing. Their communication is excellent, and it’s clear how much they care. Our daughter absolutely loves going—often eager to get in—which is a true credit to them. What stands out most is how all the staff, not just her key workers, have built such a lovely rapport with her. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and highly recommend this nursery!

G. Shackleton, A Cub's parent (November 2024)

Our daughter recently attended Otters and we could not speak more highly of the nursery. She attended the baby and then partially toddler room and she loved it.
The staff are so personable, there really is a family environment for both the children and the parents. Nursery teachers became someone  we could confide in and easily go to for advice. The trust and love my daughter had for the nursery teachers was beautiful to see and really helped me feel comfortable when going to work and leaving her from such a young age. For our daughter, even from such an early age she beamed from ear to ear on the way into to nursery. Developmentally she came on in leaps and bounds.
The nursery regularly catered to our needs for example suggesting they settle our daughter with dollies with the arrival of a new sibling, or making birthday cards for family members while we were at work. It was the little things that really helped us as a family.
